About the project
The concept design of the facade is inspired by “Shanasheel” — a unique traditional item in Iraq, integrated as an intelligent and sustainable element of modern design, controlling sunlight while giving more comfort to the patients.
The massing of the hospital is inspired by Islamic patterns found across Baghdad — familiar as an iconic texture for the people, shining from inside out, making it more attractive during the night.
